Null Signal
A downloadable game for Windows
A cyberpunk-inspired hacking simulator where you're the "guy in the chair" supporting an on the ground operative.
Current download is a proof-of-concept/tutorial level with only a handful of features implemented.

Long-term features:
- Crack locked doors, cut and redirect camera feeds, engineer distractions for guards, rewire turrets and more to clear a path for your runner.
- Conquer a variety of different types of ICE (intrusion countermeasures) that will trip you up in unexpected ways.
- Keep your cool under pressure as you juggle multiple threats and complications simultaneously.
- Upgrade your gear and kit out your runners to get an edge. Build a toolbox of programs to help you dismantle defenses.
- Take on jobs both for and against megacorporations, each with their own flavor and mechanical identity.
- Step into a post-singularity world where humans built super intelligent AI that ushered in a prosperous age... until one day the AIs vanished and left humanity adrift in a world built on technology they no longer fully understand.

To play:
Make sure that null_signal.exe and null_signal.pck are in the same directory and run null_signal.exe
Windows will probably throw a warning but I promise there are no viruses. Just hit "more info" and "run anyway"
Notes:
- There's no audio yet.
- Hit F1 for in-game help.
- The game has a couple pieces of placeholder art that are AI-generated. Not intended for the full game.
Known issues:
- The game is built for 1920x1080 resolution, I haven't tested it in other resolutions but it may break.
- It's possible in a couple places to sequence break and cause the game to stop progressing. Mostly happens in the first half if you try to do things ahead of the tutorial prompting.
